Travel Consent Notary in Sacramento & Placer Counties
Mobile notarization appointments for prepared travel-consent documents in Sacramento and Placer Counties. Book CA Notary notarizes the requested signature; the customer obtains the form and confirms its requirements with the receiving party.
If you already have a travel-consent form that requires notarization, Book CA Notary can meet the signer at an agreed location and perform the requested California notarial act. We do not draft the form or determine who must sign it.
Mobile Notary Service for Travel Consent Documents
This service is for a prepared travel-consent document and the notarization appointment. Contact us with the signer’s location, the document, the number of signers, and the requested appointment time. We can discuss mobile scheduling; the document instructions or receiving organization should specify the requested notarial act.
When Travel Consent Documents May Be Used
A travel-consent form may be used when a minor travels with one parent, relatives, another adult, or a group, but requirements depend on the trip and the organization involved. This is not travel or custody advice. Before the appointment, confirm directly with the organization or authority requesting the document whether it is needed, who must sign, what form or wording is accepted, and whether notarization is required.
Need a Travel Consent Document Notarized?
When requesting an appointment, share your location, requested date and time, number of signers, and any instructions from the organization requesting the document. Include whether the signer has a completed form ready. We can then discuss scheduling.
What to Have Ready
Please have the prepared document and all pages, each person whose signature needs notarization, identification that meets California requirements, and any instructions from the document provider or receiving party. Follow the provider’s directions about completing and signing the form. Book CA Notary does not choose the signers, supply legal wording or fill out the travel authorization.
The Signer Must Personally Appear
For traditional California notarization, the signer must appear physically before the notary; a video call does not replace personal appearance. The notary checks identity and completes the requested act when its legal requirements are met. See the California Secretary of State Notary Public Handbook for current state rules.
We Notarize the Document — We Don't Determine Travel Requirements
If you already have a travel-consent form that requires notarization, Book CA Notary can meet the signer at an agreed location through its Mobile Notary service and perform the requested California notarial act. We do not draft the form or determine who must sign it.
Identification for the Appointment
The notary must establish each signer’s identity using evidence permitted by California law. If you have a question about identification you can present, contact us before requesting a travel appointment so the issue can be discussed in advance. The notary must make the final determination under California requirements.
Convenient Mobile Appointments
Tell us the desired appointment time and meeting location. Availability depends on the schedule and location, and a request is not a confirmed appointment until details have been arranged with Book CA Notary. Urgent timing does not change California notarial requirements.
Serving Sacramento & Placer Counties

Travel Consent Notary FAQs
- Does a child need a notarized travel consent letter?
Requirements can differ by destination, carrier and organization. Ask the specific receiving party or relevant government authority what it requires before the trip; Book CA Notary cannot guarantee acceptance.
- Can you notarize a parental travel consent document?
Yes, if the prepared document calls for a California notarial act and the legal requirements for that act can be met. The signer must appear in person and establish identity.
- Do both parents have to sign?
The document provider or receiving organization should specify the required signers. Book CA Notary cannot determine parental authority, custody rights or who is legally required to sign.
- Can you tell me what the travel consent letter should say?
No. Book CA Notary provides the notarization appointment for a prepared document; we do not draft or supply legal travel-consent forms.
- Can you come to our home?
Yes, mobile appointments may be available at residences and other agreed locations within the service area, depending on schedule and location.
- Can this be notarized over FaceTime or Zoom?
No. Under current California rules, traditional notarization requires the signer to appear physically before the notary; an ordinary video call is not a substitute.
